Jennifer La’a is the Chief Executive Officer of Easterseals Hawaii. In this role, Jennifer brings tremendous breadth and depth in program development, grant writing, legislative advocacy and operations to lead Easterseals Hawaii as they expand their program offerings and adapt to the rapidly changing landscape of home and community-based services.
Born and raised in Hawaii, Jennifer’s passion for service started early as a direct support worker at the age of 16, and has continued throughout her career ensuring access to needed services and advocating for those in need as Director of Grants Management at Legal Aid Hawaii and Case Management Branch Chief at the Hawaii State Department of Health. She is returning to Easterseals Hawaii, where she previously served as Director of Youth and Adult Programs. Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, concluding with her MA in Political Science. When she is away from work, Jennifer enjoys traveling, learning about other cultures and focusing on her other great passion – her family.
