Melissa King-Hubert

Director, Adult Programs

In her role, Melissa oversees 7 programs and offices across 4 islands, ensuring that all services are created with a person-centered approach and meet rigorous requirements and standards, and that staff are encouraged and empowered to find creative ways to help our participants build the life they want to live.

Starting in 1993, Melissa began working in group homes during college until she founded her own organization and opened a group home with 6 residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She was soon operating 5 group homes before moving from Washington to Maui in 2003, and has worked at Easterseals Hawaii since 2006, holding several positions over the years. One of her greatest joys is to see her participants pursue their dream and achieve it.

Melissa is married with two grown sons and enjoys walking on the beach, crocheting, traveling, watching football and spending time with her family in Washington State.
