Monica oversees the successful implementation of Easterseals Hawaii program operations by working closely with clinical leaders, ensuring teams are supported to deliver high-quality care to diverse communities with justice, equity and inclusion as guiding principles.

Monica joined Easterseals Hawaii in September 2019 as a program manager in the Early Intervention program before becoming Director of Early Intervention in October 2021. She holds a Master of Education (M. Ed.) in special education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and brings to our organization over 18 years of experience in the early childhood and program management fields. Prior to joining Easterseals Hawaii, Monica worked as a special education teacher, preschool director and early intervention program manager at organizations in Hawaii and on the mainland.

When she’s not working, Monica enjoys hiking, reading, gardening and spending time with her family, which includes five children and a granddaughter.
