Tim Sakahara is assistant vice president and corporate communications manager within Central Pacific Bank’s Marketing Division. In this role, he leads internal and external communications strategies, with a focus on media and public relations where he highlights the actions of CPB and its dedicated employees with a continued emphasis on exceptional customer service.

Sakahara began his professional career in 1998 and has developed comprehensive experience in communications, media relations and government affairs and has established himself as a trusted source of information for the community. Sakahara was an award-winning television news reporter for 17 years working in media markets around the country including Honolulu, San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Oklahoma City, and Southern Oregon.

In addition to his professional experience, Sakahara is active in the community having previously served on boards and councils advocating for children and people with special needs. He enjoys volunteering for various charitable organizations, schools, and teams. He is a proud graduate of UCLA where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
