Administration

Manager, Office of Risk Management

We are currently looking for a dynamic person to take on a role of the Manager, Office of Risk Management. The successful candidate will have five years of experience in overseeing risk management efforts in the healthcare setting and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.The Manager, Office of Risk Management (“ORM”), is responsible for assisting with the risk and compliance oversight activities of Easterseals Hawaii, which supports the Vision, Values and Mission of Easterseals. The Manager, ORM, will work under the direction of the Director, Privacy Program, Easterseals Bay Area, to assist with maintaining compliance with Easterseals Hawaii policies, client safety, client and family services and care, and risk program. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow and deepen your knowledge of developing, growing and managing a privacy, compliance and risk program.Travel is an essential part of the job to ensure the development of close, strategic and collaborative relationships across all Easterseals Hawaii locations and to attend Easterseals Bay Area meetings in California. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required. Master’s degree or JD preferred. Minimum five years in healthcare privacy, compliance or risk management working with state and federal compliance laws and regulations, or auditing.Certification in Compliance, Privacy or Risk Management; or attained within six months.

Training and Development Manager

Honolulu (FT)

Easterseals Hawaii is seeking an experienced Training and Development Manager to analyze, implement and evaluate training and development strategies and programs. In collaboration with organizational leaders, this position will assess island-wide training and development needs and will identify resources and vendors to successfully implement effective methods and programs to educate, ensure compliance, enhance performance, and promote employee growth, team cohesion, and support the achievement of organizational goals. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in organizational development and/or training; three to five years’ experience in facilitating training and/or education delivery, excellent delivery and platform skills, and a proven track record and/or reputation for being a dynamic and effective facilitator; valid driver’s license and ability to travel between site within an island and to neighbor islands.

ABA Services

Clinical Manager, BCBA

Honolulu (FT), Kapolei (FT)

The Clinical Manager provides specialized behavioral intervention services and program supervision for children and individuals with autism spectrum disorders. They are responsible for the creation and implementation of individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs for each client including intake, assessment. ongoing treatment plan management/oversight, reassessment, and discharge/transition planning. They directly supervise a group of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT). This position provides regular performance feedback to supervised Program Supervisors related to their strength and areas for improvement, works with RBTs to set goals for professional development. Requirements: Master's degree, PsyD, or PhD from an accredited college or university in one of the following disciplines is required: applied behavior analysis, early childhood education/development, early childhood special education, pediatric therapy, psychology, or related field; BCBA certification with current Hawaii BA license; 2+ years' of experience providing staff direction and development in a supervisory role or equivalent; 2+ years' experience implementing ABA, preferable with people with ASD.

 

 

Clinical Supervisor,  BCBA

Honolulu (FT), Kapolei (FT)

This position provides services and clinical support for children and adolescents, diagnosed with ASD and other related developmental disabilities within a center-based clinic, school, home and/or community setting for clients ages 2-21. Responsible for supervision of behavior therapist level personnel; performing assessments and intakes and support of various activities requiring knowledge in behavior analysis. Requires a Master’s or Doctorate degree in related field and BCBA certification.

 

Program Supervisor, BCaBA

Honolulu (FT), Kapolei (FT)

The BCaBA Supervises Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs for a caseload of individuals with autism spectrum disorders, and supervises Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), completing competency assessments, as well as individual and group supervision that align with BACB supervision requirements. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree, BCaBA or BCBA certification, and one year of experience designing and/or implementing ABA programs.

 

Registered Behavior Technician/Therapist

Honolulu (FT), Kapolei (FT)

Provides direct intervention services to children diagnosed with Autism and other related developmental disabilities. Position is under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor/Behavior Analyst. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent; we cover the cost  of coursework and training towards RBT ( Registered Behavior Therapist) certification. Valid driver’s license, and ability to travel to various parts of the island is required.

 

Early Intervention

Administrative Assistant 

Kailua (PT)

Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and project support for an educational, developmental, therapeutic program for children and adults with special needs and their families, including creating, analyzing, and managing the reports and communications of this program. Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager. Requirements: High School diploma, 3+ years of experience in administrative position.

Occupational Therapist

Kapolei (on-call), Kauai (FT)

As a member of a multidisciplinary team, this position provides occupational therapy services to children from 0 to 3 years old with special needs. Experience working with children in the field of early intervention preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required and must be a registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) by the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Speech-Language Pathologist

Hilo (FT), Kauai (FT), Kailua (FT /PT)

As a member of a multidisciplinary team, this position provides speech-language therapy services, apply principles and practices to children with special needs, and promote optimum speech language development. Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent and license to provide speech language therapy in Hawaii required. Experience working with children with special needs in the field of Early Intervention preferred.

Social Worker/ Care Coordinator

Hilo (FT)

As a member of a multidisciplinary team, Social Worker/Care Coordinator provides immediate interim and ongoing culturally competent, family-centered care coordination services for infants and toddlers with special needs and their families. Experience working with families who have children with special needs in the field of early intervention preferred. Minimum of Bachelor's degree in social science or education field.

Kapolei (FT), Honolulu (FT)

As a member of a multidisciplinary team, Social Worker/Care Coordinator position provides immediate interim and ongoing culturally competent, family-centered care coordination services for infants and toddlers with special needs and their families. Experience working with families who have children with special needs in the field of early intervention preferred. Master's Degree in Social Work and current State of Hawaii license in Social Work required.

Special Education Teacher

Hilo (FT), Kailua (FT)

As a member of a multidisciplinary team, this position provides support to families using a Primary Service Provider model and evidence-based coaching techniques. This position is under the direct supervision of the Early Intervention Program Manager. Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education required; Master's of Special Education preferred. One year minimum experience working as a special educator and experience working with children with special needs in the field of early intervention strongly preferred.

Physical Therapist

Hilo (FT)

As a member of a multidisciplinary team, this position provides support to families using a Primary Service Provider model and evidence-based coaching techniques. Provides physical therapy services, applying principles and practices to children with special needs, to promote optimum gross motor skills development. Bachelor’s degree and license to provide physical therapy in Hawaii required, experience in pediatrics and/or with children preferred.

 

Home & Community Based Services

Case Coordinator

Waimea (FT)

Case Coordinator maintains a caseload of participants in our Adult Day Health program and support services for 15-20 participants; provides assistance and coaching to individuals with developmental disabilities to meet goals and outcomes that increase their independence, develop natural supports and friendships, and ability to contribute to society; and coaches these individuals in a variety of life skills, including socialization, communication, and money management. Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in working with people with Developmental Disabilities

Program Assistant

Honolulu, Oahu (FT)

Kapaa, Kauai (FT)

Waimea, Kauai (PT)

Provides personal assistance and care to adults with disabilities including activities of daily living in the Adult Day Health Program. HS diploma or equivalent is required. Some experience with DD population is preferred.

Community Based Providers

These positions provide assistance and coaching to individuals with developmental disabilities to meet goals and outcomes that increase their independence, develop natural supports and friendships, and contribute to society. Positions will also coach individuals in a variety of goals, including socialization, communication, and money management. A High School diploma or equivalent is required, some’ experience working with DD population is preferred. Valid driver’s license, and ability to travel to various parts of the island is required.

Employment Associate

Maui (PT), Kauai (FT)

Responsible to work directly with job seekers to develop employment opportunities through evaluation and training, job development, onsite job coaching, and employer support. Documentation of progress and report writing required. High school diploma, CPR/First Aid certification, valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
